On 15 March, in the night, the United States launched a massive air-missile attack against the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
The attack continued the following day and it would seem to be a new, longer-term campaign against the Yemeni rebels, strongly supported by the new Trump Administration.
The attacks affected the areas of Sana'a, Sa'dah, Al Bayda, Hajjah, Dhamar, Ma'rib, and Al Jawf, where in addition to military targets, the electrical infrastructure was also hit.
The raids involved the F/A-18 SUPER HORNET fighter aircraft of Carrier Air Wing One (CVW-1) of the aircraft carrier USS TRUMAN, and some naval units of the Carrier Strike Group (CSG). From available images it should be a BURKE-class destroyer and the cruiser USS GETTYSBURG (TICONDEROGA class), which have launched several TOMAHAWK missiles.
The Carrier Strike Group of the aircraft carrier TRUMAN, in addition to the aforementioned USS GETTYSBURG, includes at least 3 BURKE-class destroyers: USS STOUT, USS DUNHAM and USS SULLIVAN.
The Houthis responded by launching missiles and suicide drones against US naval units and against Israel, with one missile falling in the Sinai area.
