At the Annual Meeting and Exposition of the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA), AM General is showcasing its latest mobility solutions.

AM General specializes in engineering, manufacturing, and supporting vehicles for military and commercial markets. With a presence in over 70 countries, the company enhances interoperability among allies while fostering long-standing partnerships within the defense and automotive sectors. Today, its product lineup includes iconic HUMVEE vehicles, the next-generation JLTV A2, and the HUMVEE SABER light tactical truck with enhanced protection features.

This year, the company showcases several innovative vehicles, including the next-generation Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV A2), the HUMVEE 2-CT Hawkeye 105 mm Mobile Howitzer, and the newly developed MIMIC-V purpose-built truck.

In an official statement, Jim Cannon, President and CEO of AM General, emphasized the significance of AUSA as an opportunity to update the U.S. Military on the latest advancements that enhance operational readiness. He noted that this year is particularly crucial as they prepare for the production of the JLTV A2. Cannon expressed pride in presenting products that actively support Warfighters and contribute to transforming their capabilities.

Among the highlights will be the JLTV A2, a general-purpose 4-passenger vehicle that boasts several enhancements over its predecessor. These improvements include an upgraded powertrain, better noise reduction, and enhanced corrosion protection. Additionally, the JLTV-T Trailer will be showcased, capable of carrying up to 5,100 lbs with an 18.5-inch travel range, making it a robust complement to the JLTV A2.

The HUMVEE 2-CT Hawkeye Mobile Howitzer is also on display. Developed in partnership with Mandus Group and featuring patented Soft Recoil Technology, this system allows for rapid target engagement through both indirect and direct fire while maintaining agility to evade counterfire strikes. Currently undergoing testing in Eastern Europe, there is a growing demand for this mobile artillery system to address near-peer threats.

Additionally, AM General is about to unveil the MIMIC-V (Mission Integrated Maneuverable Interoperable Conformable Vehicle), designed from the ground up to meet the unique needs of special operations Warfighters. Previously known as the AM General CHIEFTAIN, this high-performance vehicle features a low signature design that can mimic commercial vehicles for tactical advantages.
