The United States has conducted several strikes against Iranian missile and UAV launch sites, command and control (C2) positions, and ISR nodes in response to an Iranian attack on BURKE-class destroyers.

Earlier, Iranian forces had attacked 3 U.S. Navy destroyers transiting the Strait of Hormuz toward the Gulf of Oman with missiles, drones, and small boats.

The units targeted were the DDGs USS TRUXTUN (DDG 103), USS RAFAEL PERALTA (DDG 115), and USS MASON (DDG 87).
